Anzac Cove.... Lest we Forget

Today was a very moving day as the Dawn Princess sailed into Anzac Cove. Where Warren our cruise director led the memorial service in remembrance to our fallen soldiers.

We had quite a few veterans on hand to help with the commemorations. The captain spoke beautifully and as always a floral wreath was thrown over board...... You could not help but be emotionally affected by the ceremony.  I know I was teary from the moment I went up on deck and noticed that we were in the Cove....  about 2 hours before they even started.

At  the end we sang Advance Australia Fair, (New Zealands National anthem ) and lastly the national anthem that these soldier died knowing....God Save the Queen .... All I could do for this last song was stop and stare at the words as I tried to control the tears running down my cheeks....
